Purchasing Agent - Pay Range

  • Paid Weekly
  • $24hr - $33hr

Purchasing Agent - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day functions within the Purchasing Department.
  • Place purchase orders for various product categories as assigned
  • Expedite Orders to ensure timely delivery and obtain proofs of delivery
  • Run various reports in Tekla and Microsoft Excel
  • Maintain accurate virtual and hard copy files of purchase orders, purchase order requisitions, material receiving reports, and test reports
  • Various clerical duties as assigned.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Purchasing Agent - Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with one year experience in purchasing or clerical field preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Five years’ experience in a purchasing department for a construction or manufacturing company with one year of supervisory experience preferred.

Purchasing Agent - Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work weekends and long hours in a high pressure working environment.
  • Must be accessible at any hour for emergencies.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work directly on a computer.
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping and lifting.
