Purchasing Agent - Pay Range
- Paid Weekly
- $24hr - $33hr
Purchasing Agent - Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day functions within the Purchasing Department.
- Place purchase orders for various product categories as assigned
- Expedite Orders to ensure timely delivery and obtain proofs of delivery
- Run various reports in Tekla and Microsoft Excel
- Maintain accurate virtual and hard copy files of purchase orders, purchase order requisitions, material receiving reports, and test reports
- Various clerical duties as assigned.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Purchasing Agent - Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with one year experience in purchasing or clerical field preferred.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Five years’ experience in a purchasing department for a construction or manufacturing company with one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Purchasing Agent - Physical Demands
- Must be able to work weekends and long hours in a high pressure working environment.
- Must be accessible at any hour for emergencies.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work directly on a computer.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping and lifting.
